"WE'RE ON THE MOVE "
If you are 55 years or older and are ready for change in your life, then the Lincoln Golden Ages Seniors are for you!
Come visit our center located at the west door entrance of the Lincoln Brick Elementary School and meet a group of local Seniors who enjoy socializing & love having fun!
The center is open Tuesday through Friday and offers a variety of Social, Physical & Educational Activities. There are also opportunities for you to take part in Community Service & Community Outreach Projects.
Each month we go on Local trips and we offer extended trips during the year.
Membership dues are $15.00 for the year and a Hot Lunch Program is offered four days a week for a nominal fee.
Stop by any time to receive a copy of our newsletter and take some time to visit with us. If you call two days in advance to schedule lunch, your first lunch is our "treat"!
There is something for everyone!
For further information contact the Lincoln Senior Center at: # 734-484-7000 ext. 7557.
Having the Center connected with Lincoln Schools gives our Seniors the opportunity to foster Intergenerational relationships with "our" schools children. We are able to provide support for classroom projects, and volunteer at special programs such as Pioneer Days and the Middle School Reality Shop. Each month our Seniors work on a group activity with the children, and we also have volunteers that go to Model Elementary School to read with the children. This past winter, Mr.& Mrs. Santa brought one of their elves to a holiday program.
The center provides a "Home Away from Home" for many of our members. Life -long friendships have been formed.!
Our seniors enjoy playing Bingo & Cards and participate in Parties & Potlucks.
We also take day trips to area museums and restaurants as well as go on extended trips during the year.
We hold 3 fundraisers annually. A portion of the proceeds are used to assist local agencies and to sponsor 6 families at Christmas time. Thanks to our community's support, the Pasta Dinner is our most successful fundraiser .
